"sm70- why not Duesenberg?" (sm70-whynotduesenberg)

Sorry, Range Rover Autobiography and Volvo XC90, this is my new favorite interior of any SUV. It may be my favorite interior of any new car. It’s certainly up there. I can’t recall another vehicle that mixes old-school charm and class with modern, clean design any better than this. And it looks oh so fancy.
EDIT: It seems this may be the pre-production concept interior. The real on is still not bad, but looks more like a current Bentley car. You win this time, Volvo.

the area behind the screen will always be dirty. Seems afterthought-y

Dirt is for the poor, Bentleys don’t have dirt.

I feel like I’d need to dress up to drive this like I was a historic biplane pilot. I’d never drive this car without awesome goggles.

Buzzkill moment, I’m 99% sure thats the concept interior and this is the production:

The problem is that to sit in the inside, you have to get past the outside. I could only drive it on moonless nights.

This interpretation lacks every drop of sexiness. How did this come from that?

Bean counters, lawyers, regulations, engineers VS designers. Take your pic.

“Bentayga” still sounds to me like something Ahhnuld would say while lifting weights.

Yeah, it does look like a bad home theatre installation or something. A lot of mfrs (BMW?) seem to be doing the whole “screen is its own element” approach, which looks very tacked on to me. You’re not saving any dash space, why not integrate it?

Not a big fan of the overly shiny wood paneling, but I’m digging the instrument cluster and the steering wheel. The screen and control panel placement is an interesting choice. It reminds me of a laptop as a police cruiser might have strapped to its dash.

I think it’s far enough from the dash (and might even fold down) so if it bothers you, you should be able to (have the maid) clean it.

indeed. A replacement dash is going to be expensive either way

Still pretty darn good, but yeah, more of a normal Bentley.

Eh, it’s actually pretty good apart from the headlights.

If there is one thing Bentley does well its interiors. The thing is a goddamn masterpiece on the inside.

If hire a personal detailer worth his salt he’ll get behind the screen.
